The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) Collaboratory is a hands-on, regional resource center at LTU that fosters business growth and economic vitality. The Collaboratory assists entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and second-stage businesses with growing and launching ideas. This state-of-the-art collaborative environment for innovation provides training; mentoring and connecting with funding sources. Among the Collaboratory’s programs are Customer to Cash, and Hardware Massive.
Customer to Cash
Take product ideas to market using innovative design thinking and the lean start-up method. Customer to Cash empowers entrepreneurs with fresh business ideas, makers aiming to test prototypes, innovators with new technologies to sell and established companies with new products to launch. It gives participants access to LTU’s Professional Partner Network as well as provides workshops focused on lean start-up approach, the basics of customer discovery, finance and more. Qualifying teams may also receive a prototyping stipend, seed funding opportunities and mentorship connections.
Hardware Massive is the global platform for hardware startups to meet locally, connect globally with the hardware startup ecosystem and access information and resources. This meetup started as the Detroit Area Makers & Manufacturers group, but have now joined the global Hardware Massive community as its Detroit chapter.
